Speaker: Simon Whang - Assistant Attorney General, State of Oregon,
Department of Justice, Financial Fraud DivisionSimon Whang is a native Oregonian. He received his degree from Johns Hopkins University and his JD from New York University School of Law, graduating in 1999. He began his legal career at the Manhattan D.A.'s Office, before moving back to Oregon to continue prosecution for Multnomah County. Currently he works for the Oregon Department of Justice as Assistant Attorney General handling mortgage/foreclosure fraud investigations/prosecutions in the Mortgage Fraud Task Force.

Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson
Betsy Johnson (D-Scappoose) is beginning her third term in the Oregon Senate after being appointed to her first term to fill the District 16 position formerly held by Senator Joan Dukes. The appointment came as Betsy began her 3rd term in the Oregon House of Representatives. In the 2009 Legislative Session, Betsy has, once again, been appointed to the Joint Committee on Ways and Means where she has served since her first session. In addition to serving as Vice Co-Chair of the Full Ways & Means Committee, her 2009 legislative duties included chair of the Transportation & Economic Development Subcommittee of Ways & Means, member of the General Government Subcommittee of Ways & Means, the Economic & Community Development Commission, State Interoperability Executive Council, Pacific Marine Fisheries Commission, Oregon State Capitol Foundation and the Fujian Sister City Committee. The parade will begin across the river in front of OMSI and travel downriver to area of the Fremont Bridge.The fleet will go under the bridge and then turns to return to Riverplace Marina.
