August 22nd - 25th: Pacific Northwest Mortgage Lenders Conference – Boise, Idaho

The current economy has brought many changes to our industry. Although we love Sun Valley, we are excited to announce the 2010 Pacific Northwest Mortgage Lenders Conference will be held in Boise at the Grove Hotel on August 22nd – 25th, 2010. The Grove is the only four star hotel in Boise and we have negotiated room rates starting at $99 for conference attendees.

Two agenda tracks will be offered – one for general conference attendees and one track for attendees needing continuing education credits. We hope to offer a full slate of CE’s, so that attendees can get their entire requirement met at the conference. We will be offering optional events and our grand banquet will be at the beautiful Steuckle Sky Center on the Boise State campus.

Simon Whang is a native Oregonian. He received his degree from Johns Hopkins University and his JD from New York University School of Law, graduating in 1999. Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson

Betsy Johnson (D-Scappoose) is beginning her third term in the Oregon Senate after being appointed to her first term to fill the District 16 position formerly held by Senator Joan Dukes. The appointment came as Betsy began her 3rd term in the Oregon House of Representatives. In the 2009 Legislative Session, Betsy has, once again, been appointed to the Joint Committee on Ways and Means where she has served since her first session. In addition to serving as Vice Co-Chair of the Full Ways & Means Committee, her 2009 legislative duties included chair of the Transportation & Economic Development Subcommittee of Ways & Means, member of the General Government Subcommittee of Ways & Means, the Economic & Community Development Commission, State Interoperability Executive Council, Pacific Marine Fisheries Commission, Oregon State Capitol Foundation and the Fujian Sister City Committee. The Governor also re-appointed her to the Search and Rescue Task Force. Her assignments make good use of her business, government and public sector experience.

At 7:00PM, the Willamette Fleet assembles in front of Riverplace Marina, (1750 SW Harbor Way, Portland). The parade will begin across the river in front of OMSI and travel downriver to area of the Fremont Bridge.The fleet will go under the bridge and then turns to return to Riverplace Marina. The fleet will be out for about two hours.
