OMLA News

OMLA – Your Salem Watchdog!

Our OMLA Legislative Committee was hard at work on your behalf in 2009-2010.

The Legislative Committee reviewed over 100 pieces of proposed legislation during the 2009-2010 Legislative Session.
The Committee opposed close to 30 pieces of proposed legislation, and through OMLA's lobbyist, JimMarkee OMLA
has been fighting to ensure your industry voice was heard.

During Legislative Sessions your peers who serve on the OMLA Legislative Committee meet every 2 weeks with
Markee & Associates, the OMLA's government relations experts. You may view a list of the Legislative Bills that the
OMLA opposed or supported in 2009 on the Legislative page.

The Legislative Committee and Markee & Associates will be hard at work again during the 2011 Legislative Session.
They welcome your input and encourage contributions. Please contact Mary Linton or Bob Hefty, if you would like to participate.

You and your company should be concerned about what goes on in Salem. Each of your coworkers should be concerned, they'll be affected too. Even those you do business with should be concerned. Remember that legislators are constantly trying to change the way you do your business, which will directly affect your bank account.
